Startin to feel like a "post whore" but I love to put these project boats up for feed back and to share with you folks ! This is a nice boat we got from H20 as partial payment for work on the 21 daytona . Its a perfect "test bed" for our original Panther conversion proto type (which we still have ) and were gonna dump in my old motor out of my Eliminator for sh*ts and giggles,Should be a nice boat and a "quick and dirty" little project Tom

That does it! Tommy, you've gone too far this time and I'm calling my attorney.  Here I've been drawing up a sketch of a stringer mount to support the Panther and what do I find in the above picture but a exact copy of what I was thinking.  Clearly this has got to be a violation of sumthin.   :-*

Looking really good Tommy.  Keep a pattern of that thing and you can make me one too. I was going to use a couple pillow blocks to mount it to the stringer rails I'm going to be putting in.

Good luck with your project and keep the pics coming....

Pattern? what is this pattern you speek of?  My dad gets mad at me all the time cause I don't pattern anything, all the rough measurments are in my head, I never want any two things to look exactly the same (the exception being pairs and multiples in one application).  I'll tell ya another great thing about the brace is it really squeezes the pod up against the housing making a very nice seal.  Perhaps my dad will post up the picture, when he gets back, of me jumping up and down on the end of the bowl ;D

sounds like Josh is the mastermind behind most of these projects..... Don't feel too bad Josh, that's exactly the way I do things. Just get the sum-bitch done, then write it down later... Maybe, if I think about it...

You do that to me on purpose dont you Josh? It seems to me to be the perfect solution to what is percieved to some as a potential weak spot.  Great minds think alike huh........ ;D

Give you mom a squeeze and your pops a kick in the butt for me........

Josh or Tom will your new gizmo eliminate the need/take the place of a pump brace, or will you be doing a pump brace also? Just curious. I'm also curious about some mph predictions. ;D

I don't think we'll need external braces, that plate is 3/8" thick.  As far as predictions, I'll let ya know after we run it ;)  How fast was it going before, with panther and with the energizer?

I'll make you a special one,  I'll call it the Jrork Model.  You'll just have to do some measuring for me.

You guys are crakin me up. Josh as far as befor and after for me.  My uhhh your boat couldn't quite hit 60 an 5900 r's before the kit and after I was just under 70. also it dropped my r's way down at 69 I was 5300-5400 ish.  Bear in mind I literally did nothing to the motor between the couldn't hit 60 to the spring run where I think I would have hit 70 if the water would have been a little smoother that cool spring morning by my self.

Sounds really fast now......

Outside of stringer to outside of stringer is a whatchamacallit hair over 29" apart.

Outside of stinger to the center of the pump hole is 14 1/2"

Thanks punkin..........
