bought this from a guy a couple weeks ago, was going to use it but going different direction, scoop is composite has a standard flat tray that was setup for single dominator and had a crack init. the guy i bought it from tried to fix it with a street sign and some 5/16 bolts (lol). trays good just need a new bottom made to pop rivet to it or weld it together ither way definetly a good deal and way cheeper than buying a new tray(unless u have a brake and can fab one in 20min). I can repair the tray correctly for an extra fee if need be for the new owner, this way it will fit a 4150 or a 4500 series carb... the story i was given when i bought this scoop is that it was on a record breaking CP or some type of gullwing, anyone ever seen this scoop? anyways for sale, nice paint, scoop is awsome quality mold some type of composite, nice pinstriping, has a few spider cracks and what i belive is a bird diflector mount on top? 160.00firm! plus ride.
So Cal local 951 214 0460. Koby

....and what i belive is a bird diflector mount on top?

its a rope deflector

when they drag race boats, they hold onto a rope and the rope is raise. a tube would mount from the tip of the scoop down to something so in the event the rope drops or somehow gets snagged on the scoop, it will let it slide over without ripping the scoop off or dragging the rope man down the track.

like this..

  • Boat #2: 1978 Southwind 20' Cruiser

I believe that is the scoop off of the 418 which is a Daytona not a gull wing.

Taco'd "a person or people that show up with one lake lice and a family of 50 and cram 3 people at a time on it with no disregard to boating rules or ethics. Usualy crap in toilets and throw shit paper in trash cans. Hang out at the boat ramp like its a swimming hole. Have zero insurance on anything they own and dont give two shits less about your property."

Try performance boat forum...the for sale / spam section.  I just bought one from there. On average 50-150 bucks.
http://www.performanceboats.com/parts-sale/  You can narrow it down by once your on this page over on the right side in the middle it says forum tools and search forum...click on search and enter scoop.

Ok I was looking on performance.com and I do not see anything like this scoop besides the same one as this post.

Maybe I could just buy it from the guy who owns it now..... I will pay a little more then what it was sold for.... ;)
