Desert Season
« on: September 07, 2010, 12:09:16 PM »
Desert season is upon us... well for those of us who stop boating when the weather turns. Am I the only one getting ready? Anybody have any trips planned? Where do you guys go?

My brother and I are both getting ready for sand season. I'm rebuilding my motor, and tranny, and my brother is doing some last minute checks and wiring. We go to glamis, we have been going since I was 3 and I'm almost 30. My brother was talking about going out for Halloween, but we always go thanksgiving Christmas/new years and Easter.

That's how I roll. I have more pics of my car and my brothers car I will post up.

There are quite a few decent deals on CL here in town.

As for my crap, I just have to prep the bug and I think I am gonna swap the oil cooler out. I may do Glamis for Thanksgiving too, not sure what toy(s) I'll be bringing though. My nephew is planning to have his wedding ceremony out there 2 weekends before. As for the hardpack... Aqua, where is this place for Halloween?

Im starting to get ready now. I'll be at rasor rd. for halloween and glamis as much as possible. I didn't think was going to make the sand at all this year due to hurting my motor in the rail last year but parts are ordered and a new 2332 will be in the rail for this season hell maybe i'll throw some paint on her.....

ya awesome family fun. and the canyon store has live bands from time to time. there are a few areas right next to each other

there is jawbone canyon,  then redrock canyon, then dove springs within like 20 miles from each other. there is a place called jawbone flats that is a pretty cool camp ground. that is most likely where we would be. you should come out for halloween

What is the terrain @ Rasor? MY sandcar is still pretty far from driveable... I can bring the bug but it doesn't do well in the sand.
