« on: September 27, 2011, 09:13:16 PM »
So my buddies aren't gonna have their rails done by then and that's gonna be my only trip of the year.  So anyone with vw type rails gonna go that weekend.  Id like to get a group together or tag along with someone else's group.  Preferably none of the long travel guys because I cant do 70 through the dunes but if that all you guys got I would love a ride in one.
I use to have a blower... But I married her, now not so much.

I live in Anaheim, right next to Disneyland.  Ya I would boat through October but my engine is in pieces and I don't have the release of funds from my wife to fix it.  I have however just saved a few hundred bucks rebuilding my webers today.  I need to track down some 4 lug tires I can use on the street so I can tune the carb now.  Any leads?  Also I hope there are some vw guys going that weekend because I don't like driving through the dunes by myself.  It's always nice to have a few people around to tow you out of a bowl.  But with that being said I've been going to Glamis since I was a baby and I know the dunes well and would love to find some similar minded people to go with.

Post a pic!!!  My buddy really needs them.  He was gonna buy a new set but he grenaded his truck tranny and ran out of cash. I may buy them for him just so he will go with me.  I'm desperate.

ill get a picture of them soon. the paddles are really shitty though. I do have a set of paddles on my car now that are in really good shape, but im moving up to bigger paddles. i can get pics of them all and maybe we can work something out. i have a guy that can break them down for free.

That was a bunch of F'n BS!! You made me sick to my stomach. I always forget what it feels like when you see that first sand car on the trailer headed home. My wife wanted to get into boats. I agreed as long as I can go fast. But seeing a boat headed out has never carried the weight of a sand car headed home. I always get that feeling in my stomach when I see it. Or in this case when someone posts a great video of just cruising around having a great time. THANKS!

A 450 beating up on two strokes????  I think a stock banshee  tune.eats 450s alive.  I know my stock 500 was killing 450s with mods.  There must not of been any real banshees out there that weekend.  It would take a lot of coin four a 450 to keep up with a built two strokes.  My bone stock 250r atc beats my buddies fuel injected 450with the basic breathing mode and dyno tune.

Hey hey guys cool your jets....I said "some" 2 strokes not all of them. My 450 isn't stock either. Carb work, head work, piped, cdi box and long travel. And will kick the ever livin shit out of a stock banshee. And was beating modded banshees. No not nos or alky bikes. Pipes and stuff.

I'm scared of Tony's bikes. But my 85 r atc is no slouch she had a CT 350 pv cylinder but got tired of having to put a piston in her half way through a 4 day weekend. So now its got a CT 330 kit that made her a more dune friendly bike. Still quick as all hell I'm thinking I'm gunna knock the dust off her this year and take her out. The last 4 seasons I've been going with only the car.

Damn thread makes me miss ridin my old five hundy... Hadn't been kicked since it landed me in Pioneer's Memorial... I loved it but eff riding quads anymore. Water is slightly more forgiving. If I even dune again it will be on a low budget rail. I've got family in wash 15 Halloween, but I will be at Cottonwood cove or somewhere in Mead.
