I have one just built about 750hp off the bottle. PM me if interested.
Spent Sunday morning flipping the cruiser and setting it back on the trailer. Bottom is all cleaned up and has fresh white gel, now on to the deck.
what did you have it sitting on when it was upside down??
Finished sanding my boat for paint. Then I was driving down the road to get food and seen a new shop that said vinyl wraps, cars trucks and boats so I stopped in to check it out and to wrap my 19ft Hallett bubble deck for as many colors and designs I want for only $650. I'm dropping it off Thursday morning and pick it up Monday. Oh and the best part it comes with a two year warranty for any thing, lifting, scratches bubbles even if I go to fast and it peels off. Covered for two years.
I built a basic 4"x 4" stand to catch the stringers in the rear and a sandwich of 2"x 12" blocks along with the old seat cushions for the bow area. This combo sat the hull about 1" from the ground so I could sand/work at a good height. The tires were a much needed part to the rotation, if you plan to ever flip a boat this big make sure you have a bunch of tires!
I asked that and he said no. It's water tight. The wrap over laps a 1/2 in and gets fused. Kinda like plastic welding. It's a trip. He did a couple different joints on my deck to show me how it works and then I poured water on it and completely dry.
you wrapping the entire boat or just top half?
common problem is fading. if they cover fading....youre good to go....at least for two years.
For $650 bucks I will change the color every 6 months. I spend twice that on 1 drum of 114
Just think every 6 months new color. Sheriff boats won't know what's going on. "Is that the same boat. Nope its a different color. " Sounds like good a good plan to me.
Not to shoot your idea down (just giving an honest opinion), but if he doesn't cover fading on the wrap then I wouldn't do it. Had a buddy wrap his boat and it looked like shit after a one summer season.I would personally save up to have the boat painted or a gel coat jobSent from my iPhone using SoCal Jet Boats
The warranty covers fading. Maybe your buddy didn't have the new 3m craps that's out now. But like I said for $650 bucks I don't give two shits if it only last one summer. It's something different. I already have all the paint and primer to paint it. You looking for paint?? Lol. Jk.
