1976 Donel Trailer
« on: January 27, 2011, 09:29:25 AM »
Transferring the Southwind back to CA. Since it has been in AZ, AAA is wanting to do a VIN Verification on the trailer. The VIN is stamped on the trailer but the CA DMV form (343) says something about a US Federal Certifacation Numer Label. Never seen one of those on the trailer. Is this something I need to worry about? Did they even have such a thing in 1976?  :screwy:
I'm two beers away from a beautiful day.

I got a 75 Donnell that has a sticker on like you're talking about. It's faded from the sun and you can't make out much of what it says. When I had it registered in 95 from out of state, the DMV did an inspection, saw the sticker  was faded and said I needed to have the "VIN" number stamped onto the trailer somewhere.

If the number is stamped on the trailer, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Let us know how it works out.
