Completely different everything; hull layup (weight), sponson size and position, rigging, center of gravity, type of underwater gear (strut, rudder, prop, fins), hull section much larger on a ski version and add to that, the way they run, a full on drag hydro runs on the sponsons (sometimes one) and the prop, whereas the ski version is pretty lazy in comparison, more like a tunnel hull...

If i get some free time tonight at work, ill play with it and post it for everyone to see.

Time to man up and yank it John!  :banghead:

OK..... it sounds like i have a lot to learn about them.  i have a chance to get a ski hydro but i dont want a ''LAZY'' boat.  can you make run decent? i am not going to build a race boat , but i do want to keep up with my bro's flatty. ( mid to upper 90's)

Cool project !!  Did it come with any hardware or is it just a bare hull ?

If you set that thing up right, your " bro's flatty " is in big trouble.  ;)

I know this is probably a stupid question, but how the hell do you get that on and off the trailer?  I'd always be paranoid about getting the hull snagged on the fender wells.  Sweet hull though bro!

thanks, i picked up most of the parts for this thing,  some of them are in bad shape and will be replaced. unfortunately work is really bad right now so this isn't getting much attention. it WON'T  be for sale anytime soon though... i was told this was on the cover of hot boat back in the day, sure would be cool to find the issue
