Old Flattie V-Drive
« on: October 22, 2009, 09:24:49 AM »

Just trying to figure out what kind of hull this is. It measures 17' 10" across the top.

Its a true flat, not a runner bottom. Any idea on make/model/year?

             Thanks, Daniel

It looks kinda like my old flatty, Aquacraft/Raysoncraft, whatever it is. I say that because of the radical drop in the gunwhales at the seat area. The 17'10" rings a bell but I'm thinkin Hondo, I'll have to throw a tape on mine. No Idea what kind of v-drive that is

Do you have title for the hull?  What does it say for manufacturer?

Does it have a HIN # stamped into the back of the hull?

Several builders had very similar flattys available throughout the 60's & early 70's.  Gonna be difficult to determine for sure by just looking.

There is no HIN # on the transom, and already checked the stringers for a #'s ,

also the bulkhead and the dash. The gear box is a hildebrand (sp)  I think,  just in & out.

 The old CF#s are un-readable.

Stevens or a Schiada... :-\

I think the gearbox is a Paragon...stripped down version. (some came with an integral Velvet trans.).

That looks like an ambitious project. :screwy:

No HIN# sanded CF#, some poor bastard is looking for that boat! Pull the trailer VIN and see if you can return it to the rightful owner.

Its not a true v-drive section until its filled with arrogant douche bags faggin off on each other and we are all swinging on billy b's nut sack....
Then there is that endless pool of v-drive knowledge every human being is born with.
Merely an observation.
