No ....all I get is a screen saying ..Inappropriate workplace material....and Im locked out of the site completely....I can usually find a backdoor doing a google search where I reference my name and a post or link shows up...It must be intelligent though ,cause I can use that in for a while ...and it catches up and the block page happens again....cat and mouse... ;D

This is what websense is telling me:

URL:
 http://www.socaljetboats.com

Category:
This site is not categorized by Websense

Database version:
 92680

Database date:
 04 Dec 2006

Product used:
 Websense Enterprise? v6.2

I wonder if your place of work doesnt allow you to browse sites that arent categorized...?

I have set up websense in a few work environments and this is very possible.

Just for reference....hb.com is "Lingerie and Swimsuit" ... but hb.net is "Vehicles"

I will submit a req to websense to put me in a proper category before they randomly pick one.  ::)

you could use an external proxy....but your admin is able to block that as well via websense.

I submitted a req to websense.... i will let you know what becomes of it.

what you can do is set up a vnc session (www.realvnc.com) to remote to your home computer. this does require you to map the appropriate ports and such.

The problem I ran into is that the default VNC port 5900 was blocked here at work, so I ran it out the telnet port of 22.

I will soon have to find a new way to do this because they are installing a IPS that will detect VNC traffic going through the telnet port and block it.
