What does this have to do with Jet Boats and do any of you have a similar version of this "shoe rack" in your home?

I bet it's got something to do with not being able to go deep enough!

HA!  I suppose you could say that.  I'm betting you've placed a good bet based on experience.  A hint for the rest of you:  The shoe rack  is of a female persuation.

If I remember right, There was a guy on the forums, here or performance boats, that put his in the bathroom cabinet.

Answer to yesterday's riddle.

Note:  This was not an easy job .  I underestimated it.  The bottom half of the box is sub-f loor  in the crawl space.. so I had to have the box go through the hardwood and the subfloor. And be mindful that if your garage is attached to your house or living area (as mine is) then you are contending with a fire wall if your home was built to code.*   That little "shoe rack" box you see had to be built like a nuclear banker using the same material and thickness as the wall itself.  In my case it was double layers of 5/8" pressure board.  There can be no air gaps in your joint. I used construction screws every 2 inches and used an entire large can of insulation foam in addition to the R19 insulation you see inside the box. dreams. Im told if its not airtight a garage fire will go right for that opening.  In my case the walk in closet than into the bedroom.. The worst part I experienced wasis that I had to have patience with doing the finish work on the inside.  I strongly prefer rough
carpentry!  Having said all this ask anyone who has done it, "was it worth it?".   Hellyes! I have a two car garage and I can park my  truck right next to the boat.  Its just dreamy.

* Like the genius I am I built this about 5 months ago. And later this week I am listing my house for sale.  I should be fine as I built it to code.  We shalll see if the buyer inspector agrees.  Maybe I should insist to my agent that we target only jet boat owners.  Only they would get this sickness for a hole in the wall.
