Another name for a tri-tip is a Santa Maria steak (it's a So Cal thing....).  Basically a big triangular beef sirloin.  Best eating in the West, hands down....

Not a dumb question if you genuinely did not know the answer :sly:

Marinaded for 6 hrs.  Smoked for 3, melt in your mouth ectasy.  Sweet potatoes and lemon pie.   I could just die right now but who would finish the pitcher?  I think I saved room for that too.

Hey Glen, ever heard of a Ball Tip steak or a Baseball steak?  Just like filet but half the price from a butcher.

That sounds delish.  I think I might win the cottage cook off this year.  My drunken buddies/competition won't no what hit them.

Thank you my SoCal brothers ;D

Y'all know I never let my meat loaf   ^-^     What you don't know is the lifelong intimate relationship I have with tequila in all her many variations.    Oh the stories my liver can't tell.   So yes, this weekend was well balanced nutrition at every meal.  It's how I keep in such great athletic shape.
