We are interested in buying a open bow jet boat. We live in Colorado, but plan to travel to SoCal with the intention of buying a boat. We will be or are willing to travel through Las Vegas, SoCal, Lake Havasu, and Phoenix. Our goal is to buy a boat we can take to Lake Powell on the way back to Colorado.

I am looking for a late 80's early-mid 90's open bow with a Big Block Chevy and either a Berkley or American jet, 20-22 ft long, and preferably not some hideous neon pink color.

We want to spend around $10K, but might be able to pay slightly more.

We plan our trip Labor day week (Sept 1-8)

I would appreciate any help available, links to ads, info etc... I'll buy you lunch when we get out there or something.....

post here or E-mail kbbeckius(at)qwest.net (replace (at) with @)

these are like the boats we are interested in, I would prefer one with the "squared off" open bow not a V, this seems to be more common on the 90's hull designs

something like this

Thx Brad

Should be easy to find. That first red boat looks kinda familiar. Here's my blue/white version. It's a 1998 21 foot open bow 454bbc Berkley pump with Place Diverter. Iv'e had it for 4 years and LOVE it. With a wife and 2 young kids it perfect. I wont tell you what I paid for it. It will only make you depressed. Lets just say I couldnt afford NOT to buy it. Good luck and all the SCJB peeps will be lookin for ya. Thats just what we do.
the jet boat never did this to you bob ::)
Can I get next in line behind The Beav

Yea the first pic was on the recycler classifieds, $9500, ad posted Aug 18th, I called on the 22 or 23rd it was sold :( bummer.

Where else are boats advertised??
I've been looking in Boat Trader, Recycler Classifieds, Ebay, and on Craigs list

Also what other manufacturers should I be looking for?
Carrera, Commander, Caribbean/Hardin, Cobra, Advantage, Ultra, Eliminator, Hawaiian, Tahiti, Bahner, Dana, Kachina, Laser, Renegade
Who else made boats like this?

Thanks Again, Brad

Hallet, Lavey Craft, Maybe if you could find a smaller Eliminator Eagle. I'm currently looking for one w/a suitable seating arrangment like your last pic minus the pink

That's a small engine cover so must be a small block under that cover. Allows for 2 large seats next to it though.

Wow; that's cool to have BBC and also good size seat next to cover; I thought for sure that would be small block.

Well; off to Castaic.

Ultra I think made close to a million boats like your lookin for . That new they are pretty much about the same quality . If you look for some of the more popular manufactures anyways .
