Had a great weekend at the races, thanks again to So Cal jet boats for there support, I didn?t get any pics because of a little issue we had Saturday, we where really busy. Despite the little problem, the weekend was awesome

Ran good Friday, threw a rod Saturday, went back to the owner of the boats house threw a spare engine in and took runner up in PCF, and a win in QE on Sunday. Weekend had its up?s and down?s

That sucks.
The rod looks like it got hot right above the bearing. Is that normal or is it a symptom of what happened? Is it possible the bearing seized and snapped the rod?

I think it detonated and knocked out the bearing, we where pushing it pretty hard for a gas engine.
