mark's motor blew, toby had a battery cable come loose, nick had a bad msd, and the white advantage ran out of gas on the parade lap.

david spun out in the shootout friday night and got pitched, then lost power and hooked into the backside of the island. they scratched on sunday. david is a bit sore, but ok.

everyone did a great job and gave it their best.

Heres the Burley local paper's article on the weekend....it mentions Toby and his win of the Faulkner Memorial Trophy and Mink. (Congrats again you guys!)

http://www.southidahopress.com/articles/2008/06/30/sports/local/9361regattawinners.txt

They (the scorers) screwed up the final results which werent corrected before it hit the paper.

Actually when Jim Brock pulled out his Weather Station to find out the exact altitude to tune the boat it read 7200 feet :o

You comp jet racers should be quite proud of your participation, performance, and overall showing. Burley is like no other race venue when it comes to tradition.  Your races were actual races, not high speed boat parades like some of the prop classes. Very good competition, close side by side races. Quite possibly the best races of the weekend were the Comp jet class. I'm glad the driver of the 222 that tried to go 4 wheeling is doing OK....Congratulations to Toby and the Cucci team for a job well done, engine swap and all. And congratulations to all that made the greuling trip, and put on a great show. You easily advanced the CJ effort with APBA by miles....Ray

PS, to Jim and Ralph, you guys really missed a great weekend......
