Comp Jets are like in the low 90's (most will say higher)
Nostalgia better not exceed 81 MPH
K boats have to be over 120, as do SS and PS (I think I am close)
GN boats seem to be in the low 100's, but am unsure, it looks like over 120MPH, but bigger hulls are hard to judge...
These depend on the track also, the longer tracks will carry more straight speed...
These are educated guesses at best, so please forgive any innaccuracies...

any ideas in the turns??

any ideas in the turns??
Different track setups make for very different racing conditions, I would say high 60's to probably in the 80's, give or take...
Some tracks have narrow turns (Long Beach Marine Stadium comes to mind) and they have to get woahed down pretty good...
Brad or Ralph will be able to tell you pretty close, he has seen the GPS numbers.. Just remember to take the BS factor into consideration... :sly: The more they drink, the faster they went.... :screwy:
Hi Brad! ;D

of course ive meet lots of people with a stock 455 olds full seats and a panther pump that run 80 all day lol..

i actually recorded my GPS with my phone (sweet app i found for the droid) and i can import it into google earth and play it back. I imported it quickly and it came back all screwy and just haven't taken the time to go back and play with it to see if i can make it work. If i get some free time tonight at work, ill play with it and post it for everyone to see.
If i recall, i was hitting the low 80's at about 1/3 of the leg on the strights and then slowly climbing into the upper 80's before backing off for the turns.
keep in consideration, no shoe or ride plate and having a hell of a time tryin to keep the boat hooked up in the rough water.
i know ralph doesnt drink, so that just makes me the fish story teller here ;)

ok, I played with it. The google earth stuff is pretty useless. The excel data export is pretty bad ass. Attached (http://www.socaljetboats.com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=8909.0;attach=31828) is the XLS file (you obviously need Microsoft Excel to view it). You can also use http://docs.google.com for free.
Also, I was able to export this image of the G-Meter...

When the logging starts, the appplication actually hits the internet and pulls all current weather data too...
Here is specific weather data during my run:
Recorded 2009-11-27T11:02:47.955-0800
Units UnitsMode_English
Weather Sunny
Wind SE at 3 mph
Humidity 18%
Temperature 62 F
Pressure 14.5 psi
Notes:
Name: Brad
Track Cred: No Cred.
Web Site: http://www.socaljetboats.com
Name: '79 Liberty
Weight: 0 lbs
I didnt set it up with a lap marker as I am still learning and playing with it. so it recorded the whole session as 1 lap.
Lap 1
Top Speed (mph) 87.00
Avg Speed (mph) 17.57
Distance (miles) 6.45
Time 21:46.000
-
so after looking it over and figuring out my speeds on the front straight vs the back straight, my max speed of 87 was hit on the front straight going into the 4th lap.
my max speeds per straight was averaged at 83mph
my turns are averaging at about 30mph...considering I was taking most of them slow and tight with this being a 2 buoy turn course. These would be different at a track like Ming or Burley where the turns are more wider sweeping turns.
I hope this answers some of your questions Matt.
