Taco'd "a person or people that show up with one lake lice and a family of 50 and cram 3 people at a time on it with no disregard to boating rules or ethics. Usualy crap in toilets and throw shit paper in trash cans. Hang out at the boat ramp like its a swimming hole. Have zero insurance on anything they own and dont give two shits less about your property."

I had a 16' Tahiti jet, spun it out 3 or 4 times. Ripped the seats right out of the floor. :o

That boat was wicked awesome  O0 , even more so seen through the eyes of a 4 year old.    I do remember the water breaking of the gunnel in a turn.  Not your average 16' tahiti, this one had the same bottom as the "vomit shake".

How can it spin? My 18' kona will turn like this till the pump sucks air. How do I not spin it? Go slower? Does spin = sinking?

probably because you arent going that fast.....the above picture is at a slower speed....a spin can sink your boat.....ralph can atest to it. your boat will do a 180 and the momentum of the boat will push the transom down and dump enough water over it to sink it very quickly.

if youre going fast enough and the spin is violent enough....it will throw you out violently. though i have never experienced it, but im told its sometimes way too much force to even try to hold on to either a steering wheel or a grab handle.

The first year that I had the Advantage, which is a 20', I spun it out twice.  Went back to Harry and had him drop a fin in it, no probs since. Spin does not always equal sink. First spin at 55-60 mph. Not violent, just a quick 180, then looking down the deck and seeing the wake at the same time ???,stern of the boat a couple feet out of the water until the boats speed came down enough for the stern to drop back into the water then hammer it to keep the boat from going down. The Tahiti, with its steep bow entry was a different story. It would bit and snap you around hard and it didn't have a nice smooth re-entry that the Advantage has. Forgot to mention everybody gets wet :o

I've been thinking of putting on a fin when I get mine repainted. Where can you get them these days?

Probably have to have one made, or someone on performance boats might be selling one off their v-drive. I've had one here for a while, but can't get the balls to put it in the boat. Too afraid of hitting sandbars at martinez, or beaching it and letting the boat rock from others wake

yup all is true, i spun out twice last weekend :-[ no big deal just hang on and enjoy the ride. the last time at parker was going way to fast and couldnt hang on to save my live and out i went. this is the end result

and i disagree with any body doing any thing remotely close to this cause it hurts like hell when you come out.

Yes it does hurt like hell. Especially when you hit your collar bone on the side of the gunnel on your way out of the boat at 60+ mph. I dont want to do that again.
