Title: Nostalgia Jets for Thanksgiving
Post by: fast fred on November 03, 2011, 01:21:25 PM
I just talked to Tim Place and he would like to bring his Rogers done to the Blue Water to run nostalgia jet. I will put the Bahner back together also, so we have two boats for sure.. I talked to Terry and he said that Jim Rich would run NJ also to try to fill the class. If any of you are wanting to run the 80 mph class please let Terry or I know. If we can get 4-5 boats out there it would be awesome.

Nobody?!?! I have the boat that we just ran the Enduro in, If somebody wants to put their motor in it they can run it for the weekend. The boat is complete minus motor. The boat did mid 70s with 400 hp and would be perfect for the NJ class. If you want to use it just hit me up.

The fees are the same as CJ its normally $240 for the weekend and a weekend race pass is $40.

Holy crap that is expensive!  Add in motel and fuel .  .  .   I could race 2 weekends for that fee on my bike, and the races can last several hours.

That isn't bad when compared to buying a new set of tires for a weekend of roundy-round racing  :banghead:

it easily turns into a $1k+ weekend very quick. Not to mention the first race of the year you need to pay your memberships ($180)....and fuel is goin for over $400/drum.

and forget about the bill to fix whatever you broke during that weekend as well. (alcohol included)

We always figured 800 to a 1000 on the races that were close
Black Lake cost us 1800.00 and we were misers with the money.
