What do you guys think of the new interior. We've been working every day for last week trying to get this thing ready for the race. Looks like we,ll make it. Motor only has about 30 minites on it, its either going to go or blow.
Were you building this boat to be a race boat from the beginning? Or is it just something you wanted to try out?
boost told me $8. i might make it up there sundayI just called them They are charging for the races on the east shore the lady on the phone had no idea what the fee would be  I'm leaving right now to go find out ;)
Skip'n out ;)

how many heats ran on saturday? what was the placing for each heat?
Two heats, Lance easily won both heats even after sportingly giving up almost half a lap to go back and pick up a missed buoy. Jim Rich finished 2nd in both heats.sounds like good racing ::)
sounds like good racing ::)
Dave Bryant handed out a lot of ass yesterday, he easily took the Super Stock, Pro Stock and 1 of the KRR heat wins, that guy is a MONSTER!
Skip
Lance got a little wet after the races were over!!!!!!!! ;D
That was Ty Newton returning to the sport, not Dave Bryant.
Slip and fall at the launch ramp ??? How did Ron's boat do today? Come on guys its after 8:00 lets hear some details ::)
Good job ron for taking second even tho powers at be tried to jack that from you.
can someone post the finishing results by heat?
so then how did ron end up with 2nd then?
so then how did ron end up with 2nd then?Final turn, Jim found a couple HUGE holes in the water and damn near came to a complete stop.
So many people to thank.
The R & D crew, without them I never would have made it past the first race on sat.
Terry for his support and advise. Both he and Harold would walk down after each race to check on us.
The SCJB crew that came out to help and support -Beerjet, Boost, Crewcheif, Flytime, Lucky Stiff, Maddogg, Marcsrollin, PW Hollywood, River Dad, and Wizard, I'm sure I missed a few.
To the other drivers Lance, Jim, and Gary for putting up with the latest rookie.
Also to my family and friends who came out to help and support me.
You guys have no idea what this past weekend meant to me. I've wanted to do this for 35 years and it has been one of the best weekends of my life.
Thank You, Ron c/j 511
What do you mean the powers that be? Who? What did they try to do?
At some point Donna made a comment about Ron getting disqualified for taking off some of his saftey equipment before the boat was on the trailer. And it just so happend to be the heat Ron took second over Jim.
im not surprised one bit.
Hey Ron,
From my birds eye view on the lift, I think you had a chance at beating Jim. It looked like you were drifting to lane 5 in the turns making each lap a country mile.
The boat looks great and it was cool seeing you race!!!
- Jerry
We'll be back.
Actually Donna overheard an official saying it.... and could care less if the Helmets were took off, because Jim did the same thing ::) After seeing Terry looking in the rule book, she kept telling him that if they called them on the Helmet deal that it would be BS, etc etc.... But I do like the way things get twisted :screwy:
I'll just consider the source of the petty insults, and hope that someday you too, can actually have a life.
I was on the ramp when Donna tried to tell the drivers to put the helmets and jackets back on.(Jim included)..The officals from the tower side were talking to the ramp crew asking for boat numbers of the offenders. APBA rules clearly state that helmets and jackets MUST be worn until the boat is trailered. (UNLESS UNDER TOW BACK TO THE RAMP AFTER THE HEAT IS OVER) Because of the way the ramp was being handled there were always boats waiting for their trailers, some times for 5 plus minutes, maybe 10 at times because of the gridlock on the pit road. The ramp crew wasn't enforcing the helmet/jacket rule, kinda looking the other way as a lot of the drivers were removing safety gear while waiting. Rules are rules and could have been enforced. (There were races being run during the waiting time) To hammer Donna for trying to prevent any penalties is just wrong, real wrong. If she were doing so to gain an advantage she certainly wouldn't have warned the competition.......To add insults toward her could have some dire consequences and I feel an apology is warranted. I know none of the CJ racers are responsible for the asswipe insults. As for the internet bad asses, do all the CJ racers a favor and crawl back under your rock. To the CJ racers, read the rule book. Try that stunt at Parker next month and see how fast Ross DISQUALIFYS YOUR BOAT......Ray
from what lance posted - there was no rule broken from what i understand - i wasnt there, but from whats been described, no rule was broken.
carry on.

go fuk yourself!
Your not perfect and you don't know everything , quit butting in on stupid shit and go fuk yourself! You are the biggest buzz kill I have ever met in my life , Go find something elese to do besides preach to everyone on the internet!!
Once again I'll just consider the source of stupid responses. When you're a member of APBA they actually send you a current rule book every year. If you can read, you don't need to know everything. I can, and do, read the rule book cover to cover every year. The rules do change based on the results of the National Meeting discussions. If you are a APBA member you can attend these meetings and suggest rule changes and clarifications. Are you a member of APBA? Do you have a rule book? Have you read it? Since you weren't there and didn't see it, it would appear you're the one butting in. Why don't we discuss this at Parker. We can read the rule book together and I'll help you with the big words..........Ray
