I would try by my boat isn't full stringer. I am not familiar with the rules of river racer, just know that is a requirement in CJ.

I would love to get my boat ready, but my motor is all over the western US right now and will be working 60 hour weeks until then...
Ralph, let me know if you need anything my man... I'll pick up some Henry Weinhards before I head down... ;)

Gt Jets.... I'm definitely in bud, this has been a long time in the making.
Really looking forward to meeting up with the Socal jet Boat crew. Love the
welcoming spirit that everyone has with one another.
My jet "Brown Sugar" is just about ready to throw her roost and make some noise.
This is going to be such an awesome experience.http://www.socaljetboats.com/Smileys/default/afro.gif (http://www.socaljetboats.com/Smileys/default/afro.gif)

Missed your reply. ..yes rocking the the FE boat O0... nuthing but blue oval for me brutha.

Congrats on the win Ralph.
Hey Slideartist, nice meeting you today. I was the guy that told you I used to ride in your boat when I was a kid. I'll look for those pictures.

I wanted to give you guys a shout out in support of the River Racer class...
First of all, a huge thank you to Ralph Brunt, Jim Brock, Just Electric, slideartist, terrytav and any other jet boat competitor or crew member that babysat us in the pits.
Ralph, your hospitality and humbleness never seizes to impress me and I am proud to call you my friend.
You guys in my opinion were the class of the event, taking time to help the newbies, talking to the spectators, sharing war stories and just being great friends.
If anybody is even considering doing this, all I have to say is, you have a huge support group at your disposal. I was heart broken to see Ralph have problems at the end of the main, then again I also wanted to see all three boats cross the finish line. With more boats, I think this could literally be the fan favorite class, maybe overstating that a bit, but maybe not. A little bit like a county fair demolition derby.... ;D
If I can help in any capacity at all, hit me up, the worst thing that can happen is I will have too much on my plate, or a serious lack of funds to be able to get out there.
I had more fun this weekend than you can possibly imagine. Simply cannot wait to do it again. I may be sending out my Lifeline out for certification and building a secret recipe junkyard dog marathon motor to go out there and mix it up with you... Time will tell. Hell, If that big 'ol slideartist can do it.... 8)
Let's see if we cant have an even boat count between the RR and the CJ's I think 5 or 6 Comp Jets and 5 or 6 River "Rats" would have been off the hook.... Maybe even some double duty?
Thanks again for the much needed break from reality...

It was definitely an amazing weekend at the races. I was on the east side of the track when Ralph's motor went south and it was awesome to hear the crowd all sigh. So many people were bummed for him. I heard multiple people talking about how the RR class was really fun to watch, and how Ralph was the most enthusiastic dude on the track. One guy I over heard telling his dad "RR class is awesome because its just the good ol' boys having fun together" and he's totally right. It was SO much fun and one day I will be out there racing too! I've got the bug now!!!! :o

That's awesome...... I just ordered another set of pistons.... talked to my pop about building a seat and was doing some measurements on the boat to see what it would take to center steer it.... Hope the adrenalin don't wear off for a while. 8)

So which boat is gonna be the new RR runner for ya Glenn

Hurry up I'm right there with ya between Ralph Christian jerms da you glen and myself that makes four boats 👍 and maybe mr wizard can say my polished terd isn't impressive at the pits so my 105 pound wife can tell him something

I want to echo everything these guys are saying about the esprit de corp found in the pits among the crews in general, but the jet guys go above and beyond everytime. You even see how often it spills over onto the internet. Guys around SCJB.com are a pretty darn supportive and giving group.
I am sorry to hear that Ralph's motor let go, it sure looked fast on Saturday but I couldn't stay for Sunday's races. It was a true delight to see how stoked he was on Saturday. I wasn't on the ramp when my wife was interviewing him but I gotta hand it to her, she really caught how emotional this type of racing can be. http://youtu.be/JNZI6q9lq68 (http://youtu.be/JNZI6q9lq68)
It ain't fancy uniforms and 20 coats of spray wax that makes the jet classes the draw that they are, its the people and their stories. And I think that many in the crowd know first hand how hard it is to steer a jet boat in those conditions. I bet not half of those have ever driven a V-drive. It's a whole lot more work/skill to steer with nothing but a squirt.

I am in the process of trying to save some of the pictures from my camera....
Congratulations to a job well done by all..
slideartist, that was simply bad ass.... Hope you bought a lottery ticket on your way home... ;D

I feel so stoopid for asking but does anyone have video of said "freestyle" antics.

Just wanted to say it was nice meeting you guys...Ralph brunt, gt jets, just electric, and everyone else I met in the pits I'm horrible with names specially putting names to avatars 😁😜 hope to see you guys at a scjb event or even the next race. Riptide84 and I are kickin around an idea of throwing a rrj together and start getting "our teeth cut" So well see what happens. Any opinions on a 77 challenger hull as a rrj?

OK, I guess we need to start a thread about people pulling said trigger....
I just called in some favors. White trash will soon be called a race boat once again.
Pics to follow as soon as I get some "me time"...
If anyone is out there thinking about it, I am building my boat for Comp Jet, but will probably try my hand an RRJ race first.
There is a small chance this boat will be up for sale after the first time I run it, then again, you may have to pry it form my hands after I drive it for the first time...
Thanks for an awesome weekend guys.
I will see how this progresses.
