Im going out for labor day and my friend is bringing his GPS.. Its time to find out how fast "STRESSED OUT" is going.. I know what ever it is im going to be pist :banghead: .. What are all you jets GPS'ing at?? :screwy:

I got 65 in heavy chop, hoping to get 70.

76.4 MPH. One driver, 1 empty tank, the other less than half and ducking under the dash...heehe.
GPS is a humbling experience. I was with someone else with a blown BBF Hawiian jet boat and he said he did not want to GPS it when I had it in my hand and told him let's go for a ride. He would not even let me go for a ride with him....

GPS is a humbling experience. I was with someone else with a blown BBF Hawiian jet boat and he said he did not want to GPS it when I had it in my hand and told him let's go for a ride. He would not even let me go for a ride with him....

Very Humbling indeed lol. I pulled 62mph before ANY pump work, no diverter, no nothing. And now I did hit 70mph once with current and no one else in the boat LOL, hoping some horsepower will fix the problem..

last weekend i had the aquaholic out for its maden voyage. i did not have a gps but justin the guy i went with did. he said he was not able to break 57mph and i was passing him by maybe 5 mph. i hope to gps mine this weekend on the river where the water is a little more friendly.

I'll let you know this weekend, taking it out and gonna finally run it to see what she has, i am hoping for mid 50's but anything over 48 will make me happy ;D

ya i am hoping for mid 50s as well. i dont think my friend was reading his right. there is no way my miniday goes 60+mph..haha with 4 people 2 dogs 2coolers, full tanks, and the bimini up

I love taking my radar gun to the sand bar and spoiling peoples fun! There are a lot of boats out there that claim 80+ there is nothing better then showing them the mid 60's on the radar gun after they make a WOT pass!

damit wish i still had mine 102 was the fastest that was leaned way out and a ton of nitrous about a 450 shot to be exact ask aquaholic he seen it run he will tell you

Ran 66 on gps last year in the family barge. Also ran with Ralph and his Liberty at Elsinore earlier this year. Bottom has been trued up, mild motor, would like to get 70 out of it, but it is a cruiser not a racer.

i left the gps at home and his boat blew up before we would of been able to use it hahahahahhaaha mine ran 50 on 7 cylinders and trim all the way down but now its blown up too oh well always next season me and stressed out will be back next year trying to claim top dog hahahahhaha

took her apart lastnight, broke a couple valve springs out at havasu for labor day!!.. Stupid big ass racing cam :banghead:... time to put a cam in that makes power from 3700-5700.. instead of 8000 ... hahahaha.. i gotta have it ready to race this guy 78 cole!! i heard he thinks he's fast.. hahah.. ;D

When you haul ass, do you sometimes come out of the water and just let the motor wind up when it airiates?

tell me more tell me more!!!!!!! funny you say that,,, cuz about 10 mins after i caught the biggest air i ever have in my boat i pulled into a cove to jump in the water and cool off.. Started her back up and took off, i was cruzing at about 25 mph and i heard a weird backfire puff / caugh sound.. i imideatley looked back and saw a big puff of smoke coming up from under the motor. The smoke shot out both sides, left and right. I shut it down right away.. the breathers were smoking pretty good too. pulled a valve cover off to check out the rockers to see if i loosened any up and they seemed ok.. Started it back up and it idled normaly. Went to take off and with in 2 seconds of giving it gas it went bam,crack shabang. powwwww... Shut it down once again right way. and got towed in. pulled the cover off yesterday and there were broken springs all over.

That's the problem with the bigger cams and higher RPM... it can take some double throw me down valve train to keep it alive. Isn't yours around a .700 lift? Rev limiters are a gods gift for jet boats ;D

780 on the exhaust and 810 on the intake.. hahahahahah thats my problem!!! :banghead: it sure did sound good though...

that was your cam in your boat ? how come it sounded stockish then must have had bad springs you werent spinning alot of rpm at avi like what maby 5400

haha ya thats whats in it, right before it broke the springs at havasu i was watching the tach and it pegged out at 5100... Now im going to throw in the new cam, new heads, and put my tunnel ram back on. hopefully that will pick me up a little

I thought you already had bitchin heads and intake/carb?

yeah they were really good, but the heads were 8000rpm heads, some big bored alum ones, way to much for the jet.. Now shes gettin all different stuff,, diff cam, heads, intake and carbs.. oh yah and scoop O0

What intake and carb you got now?

it has a Victor intake, RPM range of 4000 - 8500+ haha, i was taching out at 5100, and that was with a 1050 dominator.. so i wasnt seeing any of the power what so ever... ya those heads are 8000 rpm ones.. meaning they make there power at 8000 not 5100 :banghead: ... its all gonna change now!!!

Your actual horse power (where its made,rpm range) and the "health" of you jet/what impeller are going to be huge determining factors Tom

yeah there coming back off and going on the drag car motor,, im gonna put some brodix heads on that make more lower rpm power.. better watch out 78 cole im coming to get ya...... hahaha ill he happy if the boat his 80's...
