You can find it in powerboatlistings 1975 sutphen 17. Looks like he listed it there in 2010. I just found it on Craigslist in new jersey listed for $4000 .I really like my 77 Kona but it's not nearly as good as shape as this sutphen looks...I would be giving up my 460 for an Olds.  Bad idea?

Yes.
What's in worse shape about the Kona?
Gel coat can be buffed and upholstery it's about $2500 in a 18' boat.
The way I see is, the Olds is a grenade with the pin pulled.....I've seen it over and over again.
The ones that have survived, people have kept a very close eye on.

It has a lot of stress cracks in the gelcoat with drives me nuts and I look at threads of how much work it would be to make it right. I think I have OCD. I should just leave it and run it

I think Sutphen's are pretty cool, a little feminine if you will. Very similar to a Donzi I have seen some older ones at the boat shows.

Sutphen is mostly known for offshore type race boats.

Splash; Taking another hull and making an new mold from it. Making it the property of the new mold maker. Became highly illegal in the late seventies, does not mean it stopped though... Basically stealing the design to make a hull with minimal changes and calling it their own design.

Ah hah, got it. And I totally DIDN'T mean to hijack this thread....sorry...

So my "Marlin" may not really be an original? Maybe that's why it looks like so many other bodies??
