Title: 18' Super Cyclone
Post by: 76 Bonneville on April 28, 2010, 08:30:43 PM
Picked up another Rogers today.
My wife is out of town for a week, so I have time to figure out why we needed a 4th Rogers.

The hasn't been run in 4 years. So all I know about the motor is the oil looks ok. It had been stored in a garage for the past few years, but lost garage rights a few months ago. When I stepped on the floor water pumped up through the screw holes holding the place diverter handle down. It's been stored nose down and apparently the tarp blew off. The wood in the seats is getting bad. If it runs we may run it on the river for a couple of seasons.

Don't get rid of that pump! I'm gunna go through it and out new bearings and seals in it. I think I came up on a decent motor to put in the 19. Put a boat together and get some seat time and do some r&d on some of the things we have been talking about.

Has your new boat ever been raced?  colors look like Bill Scotten's original Rogers "Strictly Business". What are the chances that you might have two historic Rogers. Bill, as most know, is owner of CP boats.

Tom, its just a ski boat. No fin or ride plate.
It is a 405 hp motor with the 4 bolt mains and 990 heads.
