A few updates. I ordered some carbon fiber seats and bought a rear bench. I need to fabricate some mounts and install everything. I have to do some bottom work and set in a new intake then the motor will go in. Here are a few pictures.

I did a little more work on the boat this last weekend. Madskillz let me use his house for storage for a couple of days and let me pick his brain on the removal of my pump and intake. Thanks to Willowog for giving me an intake. The boat is prepped and ready to go to harold at R&D marine to have the new intake set. When i was pulling the boat apart i noticed that i have a S.S impeller, but im not sure the size. The intake will be at harolds first to get machined for a ride plate and shoe and then the boat will go down to get the intake set. I have taken some measurements for my seat mounts and rail kit. That along with the interior will be getting done while the boat is at the shop. Hopefully when the boat is back from harolds ill have seats ready to install and then re-wire. I hope to have it done for the March get together in Parker. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Ill let you know. You will be the first one I call. You can ride in it. Its not going to be fast, just pretty :-)

One more. I forgot the rail kit.

How much are you spending to have the intake set and installed? I'm researching costs to see if I can go there before the start of the season.

The cost will vary depending on what you want done and how extensive the work. Mine wasnt cheap because I did all the right stuff and then some. I had it machined for a shoe/ride plate, so i had to buy all that stuff. There was more fiberglass work that needed to be done than thought. it will cost you about 275 for the set. then the price goes up from there.

2K might not get you there with everything. A SS impeller will use most of that money right up unless you can find a used one, but it will still set you back 6-800 bucks. You can have your intake machined, ride plate, shoe and installed for under 2K, im not sure what a pump rebuild will cost you but i would bet in the neighborhood of 6-800 as well. I have the intake that came out of my daytona with a ride plate, shoe and even a loader that you could modify to work. OM if you are intersted. I only removed the intake and stuff because i needed a back seat and the Berk R intake had been modified to be low profile.

I got to see this boat Sat when I went to look at his old intake. Sweet ride. Makes me think a bit more about replacing my Rogers with a 19' Daytona.

I just have a big ass laundry list of things to do to get it ready. There is no need to rush it.

As for the ram horn bucket. The ram horn bucket allows the boat to back up. Since the race nozzles, or in thos case a old school version of a race nozzle, they do not have a reverse nozzle. The ram horn diverts water towards the front of the boat letting back up slighly or stay still, like neutral.
