Here are a couple of photos of the new toy. The boat has a 454 with Berkley Jet. It is basically stock and needs some TLC. I will post more photos when I get it done.

Well I got her running yesterday. My primary bowl is puking fuel out of the overflow and cant find the reason so far. The engine sounds awesome with great throttle response. I will work on it more on Monday I gotta watch my Dolphins tomorrow! Thanks for all of your nice comments!

I can dig that, but for the price he's got on it, you almost can't afford to be patient!
-
Yeah what skip said...nice boat btw...I remember you asking about a nordic, but looks like you found a nice ride...you'll enjoy it more with a diverter from jbp!

Thanks Skip , That diverters (being sold ) for a nice little older man (aircraft engineer/pilot) in FLa who just took a 16 ft "Skiff" and installed a late model SBC ;) and a Berk jet we built for him , its a "swap out for the diverter he really needs (he bought the "e" off ebay) IMO almost all boats deserve Jet trim Tom
BTW i'll have pics and story soon on this customer , Imagine a center steer John boat with a full grown Berk jet and 245 hp :o :o :o

Hey Tom! How rare are these badboys, I think I have seen three in the last ten years?

I took the bowl off and no matter how low you lower the adjustment the float couldnt close the seat. I bent the tab and now the float level is perfect. I am still running rich and like an idiot forgot to see what size jets are in the carbs.
Does anyone have a baseline setting they can share with me for the four jets and nozzles? The engine is the stock 325HP BBC454 with Performer Intake and Holley 800DP and Log exhaust.

Get the List # and I can check my Holley book.
The List # will be on the air horn if it has not been removed.

almost same boat, reverse paint scheme :sly:
well, not realy, but i thought u were selling it already!

The list number is 4780. The air-horn has been removed so I am not sure if it had a dash number after it or not. I found this through someone else's suggestion:
4780 800 (F)72,(R)76 6.5,8.5 4150
4780-1 800 (F)70,(R)76 6.5,8.5 4150
4780-2 800 (F)70,(R)85 6.5 4150
4780-3 800 (F)71,(R)85 6.5 4150
4780-4 800 (F)71,(R)85 6.5 4150
I will pull the bowls off again tomorrow to see what is in there.
Thanks,
Joe

That is a very nice looking boat. Can you give me more details on it (what you have done to the engine/jet etc.) performance wise and what kind of speeds and fuel consumption. How long have you owned it etc. I have mine 99% buttoned up just a couple of interior pieces to put back in and I am going to try to go to Saguaro Lake next week with it for the maiden voyage.

Do you have any pictures of the boat in the water?

thank you I like it to I have owned it since july 07 I bought it from a guy in northwest washington. He brought it up from Blyth thats down your way I think???. its bassicaly a stock 454 with a single plane and a holley 850 and a set of roller rockers the jet is a Berkley JE with an A impeller and a loader. I took off the original bowl and replaced it with a split bowl and put in a wedge. droop to come it came with a ride plate as well. putting on the split bowl and wedge was an awesome up grade made the boat ride way dryer it moved the wet surface back about 2-3 feet. it runs 4300-4400 rpm at about 62-63 mph GPS'd thats with 2 people and full tanks of gas twin 20 gallon tanks and full stereo with 2 10's and amp under the deck. its not the fastest but super reliable and a ton of fun. its a great ski boat. I do recomend running a fin on the jet I took mine off and it made the boat handle kinda weird(ass end felt really loss I think it has to do with the in take housing on the JE not having the little skags on the bottom or somthing)
