I've been lurking around here for a while now and thought I would finally sign up and introduce myself and post some pics of my boat.

A little history on it first. My dad bought this 1971 Horizon brand new in 1973. He seized the motor sometime in the late 70's early 80's. It sat outside in the desert uncovered and unprotected until my brother decided to rebuild it around 2004. He ended purchasing a different boat and gave this to me. Keep it in the family. I've had it for two years now and have only had it in the water twice. What a shame right?

Since I didn't build it, I don't know all the fine details. What I do know is, it has a 455 Olds punched 60 over(i think) it does have a mild cam. My brother rebuilt the Jacuzzi jet with an American Turbine kit.

Last year when my grandma passed away we dug up some pics of my dad's old boat, she poured every dime into it to make him happy as a kid(she's  in this pic). Horizon is a bad ass boat. I wanna pick one up for pops some day. Keeping the boat in the family is awesome!! Glad to see its alive.
