sup guys new to the site. i just picked up this 20ft waikiki w/ a jacuzzi jet. Any one know what year the boat is? on the title it says year 0000 so i have no clue. i still eather need to buy or build a motor.

I'm not sure what year Jacuzzi started building the YJ pump, but the year should be in the hull number.

Isn't the last two digits of the hull ID on the transom the year? Is on all of mine, but don't know if that's an industry standard or not.

Oh and welcome! Looks like a good solid project there!

Yes, it's the standard now, but it started in 1969 and some manufacturers were slow getting it done...

Last two digit's are the model year unless there is a letter at the end, the letter, from what I have heard, is if the boat manufacturer has more than one plant....The letter designates which plant it came from...

thanks for the welcome guys. its gonna be a project for sure. i looked for the hull id tag, but i thing some one did some repairs over it or somthin cause its not there.
oh and my cousin found that scoop that is sitting on the yoda hood at the lake when the water level droped, so im going to clean it up, paint it and use it.

Probably wrong but it looks like the id #'s about 4" to the right of the speedo tube. Seams to be a distortion in the red part of the metal flake.

Or an 1877, but I'd go with 1977, all the evidence suggests YUP!
