Maybe you can use the motor out of the "yoda" behind the boat in the picture :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

WE're getting big! I was on the ramp at Callville yesterday and a guy came up and asked if I post on SCJB, said he recognized the boat. Asked who he was and said he was a lurker, told him to sign up/join the crowd.

Welcome to SCJB  ;D

I'm not sure what year Jacuzzi started building the YJ pump, but the year should be in the hull number.

I'm thinking its more late seventies than early  ???  ???

Isn't the last two digits of the hull ID on the transom the year? Is on all of mine, but don't know if that's an industry standard or not.

Oh and welcome! Looks like a good solid project there!

Yes, it's the standard now, but it started in 1969 and some manufacturers were slow getting it done...

Last two digit's are the model year unless there is a letter at the end, the letter, from what I have heard, is if the boat manufacturer has more than one plant....The letter designates which plant it came from...

Disclaimer;
That info. came from a crusty old boat builder after a whole bunch of Coors killing and could be folklore I don't know..... :-\

edit; Welcome to the site bro, you got a whole bunch of potential there  ;)   :thumbup:

I'm going to have to go with you on this one Keith, that bottom has too much V in it to be early 70's. Check the HIN for the year, oh yeah, welcome to SCJB

Probably wrong but it looks like the id #'s about 4" to the right of the speedo tube. Seams to be a distortion in the red part of the metal flake.
