Hey Paul !
I took what you said at the NJBA race (about running all Chevy Iron) to me, to heart.
That weekend the motor was all wrong and when I got it dialed it ran really good.
My next mill will also be all chevy iron.

yeah...i made a stupid discovery on this awesome metal polish....soooooo.....now they look good as new...this stuff takes even the blueing and browning off the headers...caution this metal polish is highly addicting

some of these pics "even ford" are pretty sexy

i was told most speed freaks can polish the shit out of aluminum....they keep going  and going and ..u get the idea....

Thought the same thing. BTW years ago, we used to wrap a piece of 8 Guage bare copper right at the header oulet on the chrome header. Twist it up real good. Seemed to stop the blueing in most cases. Worked well enough the motorcycle guys copied that from us.

 I have a couple of all aluminum motors. One running and one in the build process.
I have a 466 that's in my Cobra replica . A96 block, ported A429 heads, 10.5-1, CC .605 flat cam, torker II, Barry Grant 825. Its a great running motor, but its got about 40,000 miles on it an its getting a little loose on the oil control. So I figured I'd start working on a replacement.
I scored an NOS A96 "Pro-stock" block (off of eBay of all places!)  Billet main caps, with 2.750 (SBF) main journals.
that started me down a long and expensive road. LOL
The small journals necessitated a custom crank, so I had Sonny Bryant grind one of the Ford Forgings at 4.250 stroke, 2.200 rods and a Boss snout. 6.800 Eagle rods and 4.600 spherically dished JE pistons at 11.7-1.
I got a set SCJ'B heads from Lem Evans who sent them down
 to Charlie Evans for a max effort port job, big valves and Ti retainers.I wanted a dry sump so I got a 5 stage Ed Pink pump with the air-oil separator. then came a Danny Bee belt drive. .
Im almost done collecting parts, only the oil pan, cam and lifters and a 3" Kinsler EFI manifold ...oh and head studs....and a damper....and gaskets.. and...
It feels like an expensive, 565ci, aluminum jigsaw puzzle LOL Heres a couple of part pics
