Title: Bought My First JetBoat...Can you Help Me with What model this is?
Post by: persuader22 on March 16, 2008, 06:52:57 PM: Hello guys,

Im from Michigan but love this site! I have always been a stern drive Boat owner, but just recently boat me my first jetboat. Its a 1978 with a 460 big block with a high rise tunnel ram. Eldebrock carb , over the transom exhaust. I have no idea what make this is??? The title just says 1978 jetboat??
It almost looks or reminds me of a eliminator,,,, but im not sure? If yu have any ideas please let me know! It looks a little dirty in the pics but these pics were from the previous owner. I just picked it up and plan on wet sanding and reclearing the exterior. Thanks for looking Troy

Post by: crewchief22 on March 16, 2008, 08:32:54 PM: There were so many copies of every style hull, the only way to know for sure is the HIN (hull identification number). It will be on the back of the hull on the right side. Post the first 3-4 letters and someone here will help you figure it out.

Picked up a Southwind today and this one //i15.photobucket.com/albums/a390/tcaswell/Picture202561.jpg isn't a Southwind.

Post by: persuader22 on March 17, 2008, 12:07:00 PM: I will post the vin # later havent picked it up yet...its all paid for but need to make the trip this weekend to bring it home. its about a 10 hour trip from home one way!!! I got a good deal on it, I think its worth probably double what I paid for it. I gave $2100 . The guy I bought it from had loaned someone $2500 for a total sale of $3500 a year ago but never got paid a dime back. So he basically went last summer while the guy had been using it and repo. it. He was asking $3500 for it but only wanted to make what he was owed on the boat (2500). So I talked him down from $3500 to $2100...ha ha
and it runs very good with great oil pressure. It has the berkly jet pump, Its just dirty but it does have a custom cover with it .

COLOR ???? He said he was told it was a colorado? does this make sense. It took me almost 24 hrs to go get this all at once. left Saturday morning around 1:00am - and got back Sunday morning around 1:30 am .

Persuader great boat looks like it has huge potential ! The "CEH" comes up as an inflatable company the boat has some cool lines and I have some ideas how bout a pic of the actual HIN (right rear of the stern) Tom

Look on the bottom of the page under comments . Looks like thay went out of buisnes or sold to another company (the inflatable boats) not sure how that works. But dont feel bad my Lancer has about 5 or 6 different companys listed (mostly sail boats) :screwy: ;.
