Title: Fiancee is not happy
Post by: RockyCapone on March 14, 2013, 07:54:27 AM
She tells me cant I leave well enough alone? I said after sipping a beer no.  >:D She dont like the new setup that pushes the scoop into the air. I told keep her to keep her hat on tight.

At least she has an opinion on it. It means she cares, right? :sly:
But, then again, sometimes that could come back to haunt you.

What did you change? Just added a spacer?

What might look really cool is a new scoop tray that has a drop to it (like a square funnel). It'll raise the scoop another 4" - 6".
She'll really love that. ;D

She thought when we moved here from outa state a few years ago I was done with cars and racing....When I moved to Arizona and seen my first jet boat and my eyes lit up and she said oh shit here we go again. It blows her mind that we can take something thats not broke and replace it or we break it trying to improve it.
I went from a low profile intake to a victor jr with the 2" carb spacer and the fiberglass scoop. When I first bought the bought I switched to a small aluminum hat scoop so she wouldnt think much about.
2 firsts with this boat that made me LMAO. First time starting it she jumped 3 feet in the air and walked away shaking her head saying here we go again. 2nd was at Parker for her first ride. The water was a little choppy in places and I opened it up about 3/4 full and was grinning ear to ear. Next thing I know Im getting hit so I look at her and shes screaming top off her lungs to slow down are fu#$%%$crazy? Followed by some comedian on shore yelling yea are you nuts followed by a thumbs up from him.
Now adays all she cares about is the boat ready and when are we going out next.

The wife misses the lumpy cam and open headers. She's allways impressed by crewchief's wife driving that Hondo  ;)
I trained her well- "Either back the boat in or drive the boat, I cant do both" -second 'date', 13 years ago  She can do either now...
