Title: First boat 1979 Horizon Jet
Post by: riefer jet on April 24, 2013, 09:52:53 PM: New member here. Picked up my first boat in August last year. Growing up my uncles and their friends always had boats. My uncle had an 88 Commander 21 foot 454 BBC / Berkeley and I think that one stuck with me the most cause I've wanted a jet for a long time.

Mine is a 1979 Horizon (Holmes) 22 foot jet boat, 454 BBC and Berkeley jet. Interior is pretty clean. I just finished going through the motor top end, fuel system, and a bunch of small stuff. Exterior looks good in the pictures but its a 15 foot job. Previous owner had it converted to an open bow. Overall great shape considering the price I paid and it gets me on the water. Went out to Elsinore a few weeks ago after getting everything back together and she ran flawlessly... heading out again this weekend and just happy to finally have my own boat.

If you haven't heard we're having a little gathering at the AVI casino near Laughlin on the weekend of May 10. 8)

Looks like a nice little project. Whatever you do to it make sure you post lots of before and after pics so we can see. Good luck

I've got a few pics of the work I did too over the last few months but they're on my computer. I'll post some up when I get a chance
