ive been looking but no luck. if you have any questions about your panther jet I would consult "CaS" (or 78_tahiti) from another forum. he checks in here and on PB from time to time. he's done a lot of modifications to his panther. i think tom @ JBP still does panther work, or if anything will try to get you to convert to an energizer kit. if i end up keeping my float i guess ill end up going that route.
-
Yeah I called to talk to tom but he never called back...energizer kit is to much tho! I would rather patch the back of the boat and do a set back berk or dom if I was going to spend over 2 grand...and I have heard of guys altering these panthervators for higher roost tails but haven't met anyone that could help me do it yet :o

this is about as good as you'll get. keep in mind the guy who did it put a LOT of custom work into getting it to move that much.

Alittle more pics added

Nice looking boat. Interior looks good.
-
The interior is used out of a commander 21 lx...great deal for everything I got. From open bow section to engine hatch for 350, and bimini for 140! Home depot indoor/outdoor carpet for now...figu :beer:red it would get it on the water way faster and it turned out pretty good
-
Is this the oil pan and pickup you are running on the engine now? It is for a v-drive (flywheel forward), you might have some oil starvation issues running it in a jet.
-
Yeah its the set up it had in it...10qt dooley pan with that pick up. I kinda thought the same when building it! No worries tho! If it blows up it gives me the excuse to build it the way I want
-
Ok, I just wanted to point that out before you ran it. I trashed two engines in my first boat because the previous owner used the wrong flywheel and I didn’t know any better :banghead:. I don’t trust anything I buy used now, it was an expensive lesson.
-
Yeah I try and research alittle but trial and error isnt bad either me
-
Na, just expensive! lol! ;D
-
I can build it to what I want spec wise for right around 800...im tempted to pull the motor back out and change it but im lazy ! :screwy:
-
cool looking float can you give me any more info on what was done to your pump i have a worn out panther that is in need of some serious work thanks.
-
I haven't done anything to mine besides.wish it was a berkely!lol I am looking into doing something more with the panthervator or doing the energizer kit
-
cool looked like you did some polishing to it there is a guy up here JRperformance said he would help me out the energizer kit just takes money . thank you though.
