Took the Rogers out for some testing this morning. Arrived at Castaic at about 07:30 This is my first time taking this boat out and the first time that she has seen water in about 5 or 6 years. Ran pretty good, as I still need to play around with the carb and timing a little. Noticed some water leaks from the right side swim step bolts and left side exhaust opening (thru the transom) Overall, I'm very happy. All the work I did really paid off. Here are some pics.

Castaic or "NFL" (No fun lake..... dry lake) is a pretty nice lake and a decent size, it is very full right now and from the looks of it Glock had the lake to himself today. Glock thats bad ass man makes me wish mine was done even more now, especially since i live 10 minutes from Castaic.

Good looking boat and an empty lake . . . who could ask for more?

Heres a link to a video of the boat that I put up on youtube. My friend took the vid with his new phone and didn't really know how to alter the settings. Sorry for the crappy quality and I hope the link works. 1978 Rogers jet boat @ Castaic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASzoPmBPw8U#)

Sounds nice.

Looks like she cleaned up real nice and sounds great. To bad the matching carb scoop was lost. I had that custom made when I owned the Rogers back in 78 and it looked awesome. Fred

Thanks Fred. Ya, it was alot of work but she turned out real nice. She really is a great handling boat. It appears that the guy that bought the boat from you has no interest in talking to me. Only he would know what happened to that scoop. Either he still has it or it's on some other boat. Your're not far from me at all. When are you gonna come to Burbank to see your old boat?

Went to Lake Mohave last week with a group of friends and their boats. 5 Straight days of boating. Zero issues with the Rogers. Here are a few pics.
