This is the best thread on here!  now maybe I don't have to search the whole damn site looking for pics of these beauties! Here's mine... 1975 Mini, Holman & Moody 460 BBF, Berk and Place diverter. I've been spending every spare minute on her in hopes of being seaworthy by next season!

Yes I picked it up a few months ago. I'm sure it was the one you saw, I had been watching it for a while wondering why it hadn't sold (the price was high but obviously nobody tried negotiating  ). I Wasn't exactly looking for a project this big... But the price was right so I couldn't say no. i love the lines of these boats and the interior seems just roomie enough so you don't feel like you went for a road trip in a Geo Metro after a day on the water!  Maybe you guys can give me some insight about how these do on the water? This things a tank... How fast can I expect to go with my mild 460 and A cut impeller? I've also heard they are tricky to maneuver because of the hull shape... Is this true? And are there any specific design flaws I should fix while I have it torn down? (I already replaced the fiberglass tanks). Thanks for any advice you have and hope to see you guys on the water someday!

You got a great hull.  Hallett makes a solid boat that can handle big power.  Actually your's is a better design than mine.  Mine could go either V-drive or jet and lacks the center strakes that your's has.  Your's should develop more lift.

Family Tradition was my boat. I upholstered the seats 10 years ago. Had the name put on. My favorite boat name. Sold it 3 years ago. Loved that boat.

The mini cruiser has always been a great looking hull and there are definitely some nice rides here.  I had to step it up and get into the 21' cruiser for my latest project, don't see as many of these running around.

Bought it from a good friend at Lost Lake (home base) almost two years ago. He was the second owner and he owned it for about 20 years. Dropped the exhaust valve on cylinder 7 last summer and had the motor rebuilt. All new carpet, and a bit of upholstery work. New steering cable. And of course, had to put a stereo and some speakers in it.

We love this boat. It's got character.

Well shit escalated tonight. Gutted the interior, cut out the gas tanks and working on getting the floor out. All new interior and gas tanks in the mini.not bad progress for starting at 6:15 tonight!

Nice work! Mines not a Hallett but I need to do the same repairs this winter. Glass tanks under the floor need to go.
