How do u like that tan carpet in your boat?

Sent from my iPhone using SoCal Jet Boats

It's growing on me. The boat had darker brown carpet originally. I took it to an upholstery shop and told them I wanted brown carpet. When I went to pick it up they had put the tan in. I think it matches the paint job a little better, and doesn't get hot so fast in the sun. It's already got some small stains here and there, but the boat isn't cherry so I don't worry to much about it. Someday I'll over haul it, you know, when I win the lottery.

Well shit escalated tonight. Gutted the interior, cut out the gas tanks and working on getting the floor out. All new interior and gas tanks in the mini.not bad progress for starting at 6:15 tonight!

Look familiar? This is what mine looked like about 7 months ago. While you got the carpet off you might want to consider using carriage bolts to fasten those brackets for the ski locker cover. Mine just had regular bolts originally and after years of people standing on the ski locker cover the bolts pulled through the wood floor. I just reinstalled the regular bolts and then drilled holes between each of them to add the carriage bolts. Now I could do jumping jacks on that cover haha.

I'm going to get rid of the ski locker cuz I'm going to do a full width hatch and back bench. Possibly just put in an ice chest in the floor to hold all my empty beer cans.

Parker is starting get get pretty bad with all the wakeboard boats and their huge wakes. Don't get me wrong the mini doesn't swallow up the chop but it does a lot better than the bubble deck.

Yesterday I met with Eddie at Martinez Marine Interiors and got a game plan on my new interior and came home to rip out the floor in the mini and got it all prepped to start laying the new floor today.

This is an old post, but I’m a new member and don’t know where else to post pictures of my boat. It’s a 1977 Hallett mini day cruiser with a BBF, Berkeley pump and a lot of blood sweat and cash to get it to this point. Finished in 2015, and it’s been turn key sense.
