I think we may need to have Brad move this to the Project boats thread! lol.
Nothing major, at least the floors staying in it. All minor stuff, but crawled under the dash to look and see if anything apparent stuck out. Yup! backwoods/Hill jack wiring, at it's best, and enough electrical tape I took off to pinstripe the boat with it (And more!).
Was getting VERY windy and bleak looking so I just covered it up for tonight. I'll take some pics of this mess in the morning. The guages are not even bolted in!, no brackets or anything!. I'm amazed none of them popped out Sunday. Wiring I can figure out, I think, reprinted the post on standard color codes, which should help.
Second battery and battery switch affair is not even hooked up, and the second battery is an anchor, breaker is disconnected, tubing from the Pitot to the Speedo is jacked (Should be an easy fix with some nylon tubing and a couple compression connectors)
Anybody know if you can get just the mounting brackets for gauges? I can fab some from some strapping I guess if need be, shouldn't be but a couple of hours with a sawzall and a drill. Did eyeball the bottle of Gorilla glue more than once tonight tho........Nah, better not!

Gauges are lighted, but dunno if that part works or not. Looks to me like someone put these gauges in very recently, and obviously didn't know what they were doing. They look new tho.
Got some other stuff to do in the morning (Taxes! What a friggin nightmare this year!), hopefully I can get a bunch of connectors and fix this mess Thursday night, and change the oil and filter. Oil looks very grey, seems like condensation to me as it looked a little milky before I took it out on sunday. Cleared up after warming it up on the trailer, so I let it be.
But it did fire right up!, that's a good sign. Should be able to get this mess, and finish buttoning up the Moo for Sunday. Hell if Brad can tear half a boat apart and put it back together, including glass work in a week, I should be able to do this much that quick!
And I keep telling myself, tighten all the hose clamps, thighten all the hose clamps........
