thanks... ya i would say that too... the guy didnt know what he had.. he said the motor didnt start and might need all these new BUT what he failed to do was check his gas and carb.. the gas was old, and the carb was all gunked up... new gas, new filter, cleaned the carb out, and it ran like new....

Hi everyone.

New to the forum here and figured I would say hi and show a few pic's of our boat like the title of this thread says, so here she is. 1976 Hornet, 680hp BBF, Berk pump with droop and diverter. Just got through redoing the entire boat and she runs great and sooooo much different/better than last yr... I lived in CA for 12yrs right next to Castaic Lake, I miss being that close to the lake... Your Rogers looks like Steve King's MJ (Modified Jet) from the 70's Could it have had stars on the bubble and red/white stripes on the deck? If not It was probably built soon after Steve's boat because his was so sucessful Roger replicated a few without the star spangled treatment. What year is it?

Mine is a '78 and it was never owned by Steve King. Actually, the original owner is a member on this forum. I'm still trying to find out who bought the boat from the original owner in '88 or '89
