My boat (picked up last summer) 89' Eliminator
« on: August 13, 2013, 11:42:39 AM »
Thought I'd share my puddle jumper;
1989 21' Eliminator
BBC blueprinted and balanced dyno just over 700HP

2800 watt stereo

Was a big learning curve from my Ultra Custom I/O to this Jet but got to say like the jet much better!

Here's some shots;

Thanks! Can't really see your avatar. You have a posting on yours?
Im in Reno, rare to see any custom builders just your lame bayliners, over priced Malibu's Ect.
Went to Pyramid lake some kids (18-22) said "what's that? You make that boat" I laughed till beer came out my nose. He was shocked when he saw the engine and how easily I spooled off a 70+ mph run

Mines a 88 Baker Tunnel. With a BBC around 500 hp. It's a kick in the pants. We stay on the lower river north of Blythe.

Nice looking boat. Had the toy long? How is the river down there? I've been from Havazoo to the bridge above topock, very interesting. Was with a guy who grew up on the river boating. So I'm not sure how navigating goes on the river I've only been a seated spectator!

Thank you. Had it for about 10 years. Going on the 4th motor build. Dam heavy foot. Where were at is bitchin, peaceful family oriented. The craziest thing we get is the California Performance Regatta. Navigating the river is pretty dam easy, then again I grew up there. Been going for 43 years to the same  spot.

I'd love to check it out this fall or spring 2014. Where do you launch on that part of the river? Is the river running good through that area(current wise)?

We are between WaterWheel Resort and Aha Quin. The water is good. A little low at times, but not a problem for a jet.

There's a video on "CP Regatta, who's going" thread. That's I'd from a sand bar just below us

There's some sweet looking rides in the video. River looks great. Definitely something to put on the calendar to enjoy, thanks for the link!
