Tracy,

I used this automotive/marine weather stripping I found at OSH on a whim.  It was like seven bucks and ended up only having to trim like six inches off.  Worked perfectly, very pliable stuff and is guaranteed for ten years.  It was in the isle with the foam two sided tapes and such.  Shaped like this stuff but in black:

Brad,

At first I was going to suggest doing the one piece swim step for usability it would be nicer.  Then I got to thinking it might cause some clearance issues if you were to do mods on your pump.  So now I'm thinking the two piece would be a better way to go.  They are pricey indeed.  But if you know anyone with a bitchen wood shop, they'd be fun to fab up.  I would have fun doing it at least.  If I knew anyone with the shop, I'd be all over it for ya.

Getting ready for the maiden voyage tomorrow!  After six months of this B.S., I'm finally off house arrest as of tomorrow at 6AM.  It's about effing time!

Did some mild tuning today, adjusted the timing to 32*, it was only set to like 23*  :screwy:
Found out I needed to replace the dizzy cap cuz the coil point contact was broken and fell out when I took the old cap off.  No wonder it was hick-upping and didn't want to idle before...

Heading out to the Delta for just the day tomorrow, gf has to work tomorrow night.  Then maybe up to the boss' houseboat on New Melones for Sunday/Monday.  Hope it all goes well...   8)

Here's an attempt at posting a crappy cell phone video of her purring today:
