Found out last night that my Nicson logs have the same 3 bolt pattern as a standard 2-1/2" exh collector...  So now I just have to cut off the flanges on the pipes and weld on the set that fits...  Sounds easy in theory  haha

Question for exhaust guys...  Is it difficult to taper down 3-1/2" exh pipes to fit a 2-1/2" flange?

Something don't sound right, 3 bolt? I have never seen a set of logs that have 3 bolt flanges

Greg at GS Marine in Corona said that Nicson in the 70's used a 3 bolt flange for a few years then went with the more popular 4 bolt flanges later on...  But yes, I assure you it has a 3 bolt flange as I've already taken them apart and brought them with me to the speed shop and matched up the 2-1/2" flange that fits perfectly

Nice!
Keep us foaming at the mouth with more pics!
A transom shot would be nice too.
Any plans?

I know it's been awhile...  I have since pulled the TT exh tips and going to put on my transom covers, got the 2-1/2" 3 bolt exh collector that fits my logs and hopefully this week will have the muffler shop weld my OT pipes to the collector...  Once that's complete I need to run all the water lines and buy a battery.  Anybody near the Riverside area that's willing to help a newbie with the water lines please hit me up, I will take all the help I can get to ensure it's done right and to be able to get it on the water for the Avi trip in a few weeks
