What kind of carnage did you find in your pump? The pics of the used pump look decent, impeller looks decent too, I'd Probably put a wear ring in it and run it, depending on front bearing condition.
With two pumps, you can take the best parts to make one good one.

I haven't taken my pump apart yet, I'm trying to get my truck project out of the garage this weekend to make room for the boat.

What should I look for to know if that front bearing is good or not?

So, It looks like you'll have it rapped up before lunch ;)

Jordan- Just check/feel how it turns, no grinding, f to r slop, should have some resistance, but it should turn by hand.

It gives me time to catch up! We need to make a test run together so neither of us ends up stranded. Lesson learned back in January..

I didn't see any obvious problems with the used pump.  If the price is right I'd jump on it.  If nothing else, put it in the boat and sell the whole package as a runner (easier to sell and make more money when they run).

I finally pulled the pump out of TT. Attached are pics of where I'm at now. How does the shaft, impeller, and front bearing housing come off? It looks like the impeller should slide right out of the back of the shaft, but it isn't budging. The impeller shaft pretty much stuck in place. The gasket behind the bearing cap was cracked in two as well.

So, I think I scored on this new pump I got. Take a look at the impeller!  I couldn't get good pics with my phone, but the wear ring looks new as well.  It came with the bowl and nozzle, but I didn't take any pics. I'm using my polished bowl and diverter anyway.

Anyone know what's up with the curved blades on the impeller?  Through google I found several pics of WJ impellers with curved blades, but I also found a bunch with straight blades.  What is the difference?  Any pros or cons either way?

Huge thanks to Corey for dedicating his Saturday to putting the boat back together with me.  The only hiccups are due to me which is a huge lesson to pay attention to every detail and double check EVERYTHING.
