I am such a dumbass

:banghead:I was cutting a hole in my dash to mount my stereo head unit and the flattest place was to use 2 of the existing gauge holes and redrill them elsewhere. I measured and setup to do it grabbed the 2 inch hole saw and the phone rang . I carried the hole saw over to the phone set it down talked on the phone and then proceded back to the boat picked up a 2 and 1/4 inch hole saw put in the chuck and drilled the hole as soon as i pulled it out I realized what i had done . I am so stupid .

:banghead:Spent the next couple of hours refiberglassing the plug back in the hole then filling it so that I can redrill it 2 inches did I tell you how stupid I am

. Anyway tommorrow Finally time to prime the beast.

Been there done that, that's why I had 2 5/8" gauges in the Renegade....

I "assumed", you all know what that means.....I got to spend an extra $250 on gauges...

(boat was already painted)

finally after alot of destruction stripping and sanding today begins the putting the boat back towards useable

2 days of 400 grit block sanding then another coat of Urethane primer, then a guide coat now today block sand with 600 grit paper then a coat of sealer then on to colors. Im getting tired of sanding but it is looking good

Na, he dun need spots. I got 'em all, and Moo's ugly enough on her own! Rivertard has udders for his and the John Deere green thing goin on so I think we got the farm theme pretty well wrapped up.

Killer progress on that thing tho Farmergord! Looks like you'll be ready for spring with time to spare!

well after about 150 hours of block sanding 2 coats of urethane primer 1 coat of urethane sealer I am finally ready to start on color. Tomorrow some Pearl white then Metallic blue then interclear. Then start on the graphics. So glad the sanding is done for now

finally some real progress today three coats of pure solid color base white on the lower part of the hull 3 coats of pearl white on the upper part of the hull then 3 more coats of Mettalic blue on the upper part of the hull. i was also going to put on 2 coats of interclear on top of that today but due to low shop temp and med 70 degree reducer Ill save that till morning ,want to make sure all the solvent has evaporated to avoid problems down the road, still within 24 hours. i absolutly love the Kustom Shop paint from TCP Gobal in SanDiego. It cost me about half of what PPG is and sprays like a dream. Only ran into a couple of problems , even afterwashing 4 times and wiping with grease and wax remover then using a tack cloth I still got a bunch of fisheyes in the base white on the transom. i even had fisheye remover in the paint. but I just waited a few minutes and sanded them out retacked and sprayed with no further problems . Heres a few pics but I didnt discover till part way thru that i had no card in the camera. Next start laying out the graphics and painting them on

Even got my 78 year old dad down to help

That blue looks great! Id love to see the combo of the pearls of the lower and upper hull out in the sun. Looks killer! Great job!

the blue is Mystic Blue Metallic urathane basecoat a premixed color they sell i used pure solid base on the lower white and used the pearl under the metallic to make it pop. Have used pearl white on hulls before but dont like the way it sometimes looks
