3qts primer sealer,4qts white,2qts blue 3 gal clear roughly $600.00 including reducers and hardners. You could get by with 2 primer and 2 white for bottom and 2 color for top and 1 gal of clear. I ordered more to put white under my mettalic and more clear to put on top of the graphics after thier painted on plan to do 9 coats of clear 3 at a time

Ive been wondering when someone was going to ask. My wife is an artist and at first I wanted a big titted naked woman airbrush mural on the bow but she didnt think that was as good an idea as I did. ;D So I have always wanted a hotrod with old school flames so that is what she is going to do on the bow . Then I bought her some pinstriping brushes and shes been messing around with them. So there will be pinstiping as well not sure what or where yet.

well after 6 weeks of not touching the boat we finally found time today to get back to it. time to practise doing flames on an old hood I sprayed blue when I did the boat. My artist wife layed them out her first ever attempt, then we sprayed them yellow then she hilighted with orange but she left her airbrush at school so had to use my touchup gun . Cant get as fine a spray with it so will refine technique on the boat. she wasnt happy with the end so she tried to cover it up when i snapped the picture. Also stripped the old seat frames and started to build new ones as the old are to rotten .Tomorrow the block goes to the machine shop so that process can begin. Finally some new progress.

For gaskets, it's hard to beat Fel Pro for the price, the only thing I'd suggest is using the rubber valve cover and oil pan gaskets with the crush proof sleeves:

took the covers off the seat frames today to get ready for upholstry and got a nasty surprise. All rot .fortunatly it s not a huge problem to whip up a new set. Started by making a bending jig then bent 6 layers of 4 mil waterproof marine ply, then cut out the other parts out of half inch, should be done by the weekend but this damn farming is starting to cut into my boat working time
