Got my dads old 1978 18ft HALLETT Mini Day Cruiser! He sold it to one of our employees years ago who then sold it to a customer/ family friend of ours and now I was given the chance to put it back in the family. My dad was so happy to hear that I was buying this boat back. Picked it up for 4,500.00 it has a newer Chevy 454 BB 4bolt main in it, with a Berkley pump and manual place diverter, all original except the back hatch that was added on. been sitting for about 5-6 years so i'm hoping I can flush everything and get all new parts on it by the next SCJB Meet.

Congrats! I've had my dad's old boat for a while now. You see alot of threads about guys looking for their old family boat. Glad it worked out for you. 

Yea I'm happy too. And yea I still want the eliminator jet boat that I grew up with that my uncle has one of these says ill trade him straight across.

So is that an 18.5' Mini Cruiser? I'm new to Hallett's but if so it's the first one I've seen with that interior layout and the bow rail.

yes it is and same here all the ones I have seen don't have a bow rail and the hatch was an add on.

Most of the hatches on these boats took an enormous beating and are usually replaced, repaired, or redone.
