Got it started today with some help of a friend that raced and built big race motors.It's a lot of stuff to start.Have owned a lot of boats but not blown alcohol with a magneto.I will get it just use to start and go but this is a whole new ball game.Hope to see everyone at the Avi in May if that's happening.

I have no idea,I bought it from a guy in Scottsdale Az.that only had it for 6mo. he had no info except he said the motor had been refreshed but you know how that is.The original owner is who is on the Ca.title I have and I sent him a letter asking if he can contact me about the boat,motor and jet drive.Hope he is willing to do so.Most guy's do and love to talk about it.
I also know Tom the owner of performance jet boats in the bay area and he said a friend of his knows the guy who owned it.Hope to get info from them.

Traded it for a totally restored 18ft Southwind with a new 468.Trailer jet wiring floors paint all done wet 4 times.I do this all the time buy and sell and not for profit but this is the fastest I've turned one.After I had it was obvious I was going to have way to much work with a alcohol blown motor.The guy that traded is an engine builder and old drag boat racer and going to get it to run on race gas.He opened it up and told me the internals were all top of the line.Bitchen boat but Alcohol start gas and magneto just more then I needed.

Boy your good! must be on performance boats also.Just waiting for the motor to be shipped from Tx. Going to deliver boat mid to end of April taking it to the launch down the street and run it, been guaranteed 75/80 with that motor and pump and I'm a happy camper.

hell yeah! That is a beautiful boat. I like southwinds alot. That was my first jet. And I'm always on this site. But I like to lurk and look at other sites sometimes too. Congrats man. I cant wait to see it
