Title: NORDIC OWNERS
Post by: NORDIC454 on March 16, 2008, 09:27:52 PM: I am trying to get as many people together who owns older Nordic boats for the regatta in june. the dates are june 20-22

we went to the last one they had, and had a blast. it was pretty cool having all the big high dollar new boats more impressed with my old classic boat, than with each others $100k boats.
i think it would be great to have a presence at the regatta. so... whos gonna make it?

Post by: 76NORDIC on March 21, 2008, 02:08:10 PM: Hey guys, just got off the phone with a guy at Nordic boats. i was tryin to see if I could find the metal badges for my boat, basically lookin for needle in a hay stack :-[ I asked him about the regatta and was telling him that there was some of us from the SoCalJB that were thinkin about goin. He thought that would be GREAT. He was sayin how this one was goin to be the biggest. They are having a film crew and wanting to do interviews and to show the antiquities. Also havin some NHRA cars and a motocross dude doin autographs, showin that they are into more than marine. Also said to go to the web site to RSVP, top right corner so they can send a bunch of stuff info I think. Sure sounded like alot of fun ;D

Thanks 1980. Hopefully I can get some more pics of the boat this year and make it more sexy with the wife on the boat. I am trying to find her a yellow and black swim suit... ;D
Also, how do we get the Nordic Decals. Just email them and ask for them and they will send them out? Is that all ????

He was the one that filled me in about the regatta and then sent me decals and a couple that I am going to use as the badges. They say Nordic in their script with the insignia, look pretty cool. Basicaly been told im lookin for a needle in a hay stack for the metal ones . Best of all, the guy sent them to me FREE :o Thot that was pretty cool Mark

Post by: NORDIC454 on March 27, 2008, 10:07:00 PM: there really isnt too many of us left, but i think thats because they truly were "custom" boats back in the day. not "mass production". so the attention to detail is great, and its really is a good product. but that also makes them a little more rare and harder to find than your typical Eliminator, dont get me wrong, i love them, old and new, but thay are a dime a dozen.

not necesarilly a beater...it still has a real power plant no two smoke for me...something about the sound of a v8...and the drinking well dont know what to say about that, but maybe i should slow down a little...actually i did today i been home since 3 and have only drank 8 or 9

As soon as I learn how I will post some pics on here. I was also intersted in some decals for my truck as well as decals for the boat. I live in Missouri but would be extremely interested in the regatta. I bought the boat in Phoenix, AZ. It was originally from Riverside, CA. I've got alot of questions about my boat that I'm sure you guys can answer so I look forward to posting some in the near future. Scott.
