they need a fresh polish, but here they are.
-
they gonna clear your valve covers?

they gonna clear your valve covers?
I dont think I want to chance it. It is sooo close. If I had another 1/16" I would run them.
I think I am going to run these untill I can get some dough to buy the angled ones that I want.

-
ive got some stamped moroso chrome ones you can have if you need em. they fit with my center rise on before i found some angled covers.
-
the m/t's gonna work with your puke tank setup?
-
I'm sureI can make it work, but wont look as good as it does now. I'll probably Bite the bullet and find a pair of tall Moon breathers. Then I can sell them for a little more when the time comes ;)

saw you in BHC last weekend boat looks good

You dont have a mullet if anything its a wig! Brandon, I call this dude everytime I goto bullhead...he's too cool for us

Installed split bowl and mini droop. The exhaust is almost done. I need to finish the S.S. tail pipes, should be finished welding and polishing tomorrow, and epoxy/fiberglass the old holes from the original tips.
[attachimg=1][attachimg=2][attachimg=3]
-
Did ya use elbows or was the exhaust hose flexible enough to make the bends inwards ??? Looking great by the way
-
No elbows, no flexible exhaust hose. I am fabricating 4" S.S. tailpipes from risers to tips. The hose that's on there was just for mock up. I should be done fabbing them up today or tomorrow
-
that looks bad ass. good job b
-
that poor mini droop has had so many different colors on it! looking really good brandon
-
[attachimg=1][attachimg=2]
Need to weld it up
-
Brandon, what. Sealing the as pipes to the risers?
I don't see any rubber, clamps, joint etc. Looks awesome but what's the secret?
Chris

Chris
thats just mockup....hes still gotta get the hoses and clamps to finish it.
-
Looks good! What r u gonna do about all the black carbon that will get all over ur swim step though?
-
Clean it. There should be less there, than when it was below the water and went all over the transom
-
Haha right on

Deciding weather to polish, or have them Jet Hot coated to keep the heat down. That stuff does wonders
-
looks fokin sweet
-
polish em! the water will be exiting the exhaust and even though they ARENT jacketed at that point they'll be "eh" hot. same as touching the riser on a log system. if your log riser wasnt hot, these wont be either.
if they end up getting too warm for you, then you can get em coated... you cant go the other way around. =)
-
WOW Brandon that looks BADASS!!!!!
-
Thanks guys for all the positive feedback. This has been something I've wanted to do now for a few years. Sometimes it pays off to wait for the deals to come. The whole exhaust conversion cost me around $200
-
That looks killer Brandon! Good work my friend
-
I got everything fabbed up, bolted on and tested. This boat hasnt run this good since ive owned it. with the new 4" center rise exhaust, and the new split bowl and mini droop(thanks Nordie), this thing picked up around 200rpms, and what feels like about 8-10mph. The droop made such a huge difference, you can feel the boat lift when you stab the throttle, and free up and go.
-
how much louder was it and did your pipes get hot at all?
-
Not that loud from the cockpit. Awesome from behind! Not that hot. Water didn't sizzle after shutting it down
-
nice looking boat like the pipes
-
attempting to post video

-
Did you put Nordies old cam in that thing? Holy Crap it sounds all sorts if Irate!
Ray
-
That thing sounds bad A$$ >:D
-
I finally got some new kicks for the trailer. My issue was that they are 50 series tires, but 90% so it'd be stupid to buy new tires for the wheels. I decided to lower the fenders down to match, which im glad I did, because I actually wanted to raise the boat on the trailer to get the side above the fenders.
heres before and after fender lowering-[attachimg=1][attachimg=2][attachimg=3]

A part of me says that's bad ass an then there's the other part that just says....ass. birchen boat man looks great.
Fat fingered from the phone- Corey
-
Thanks, its taken 6 years to get me here. Its now where I want it to be for the most part
-
hey Brandon how are you going to fill in the running boards? I've put the same size tires on mine and need to do the same thing can you post some pics thanks

to be quite honest with you Gord, its probably not worth my time to put any filler pieces, as its only a 1/2" gap, and not that noticeable. at least your new wheels are 17's so they take up at least 2" more than mine do. These wheels are 15's.
-
When I took my bow rail off last summer, I was left with some holes in the deck. Terry machined some caps for me, and I polished them up. I think it looks more complete now.[attachimg=1][attachimg=2]
-
You get the wedgearooni?
-
Yes I did, im sorry, I didnt let you know and thank you. Its actually at the powder-coater right now along with Brad's P.D.(white)
-
brandon do you have a pic of what your old exhaust holes look like now?
I didnt see andything in the pics
chris
-
I'll take one tomorrow. I used the cutouts from the new holes and glasses them into the old ones
