My mom let me borrow some of her photo albums and I was able to rummage through and snag quite a lot of pictures of my uncles Wriedt, my dads Tahiti and Eliminator.
I thought they would be fun to share. Most of them Kyle isnt even born and I am in diapers ;D

I remember as a Kid camping on the river like this at Parker and waking up to boats doing early morning passes on the glass....
priceless.

Very cool Brad, now if you could just get rid of wearing diapers you'd be all set! :D
-
That is some pretty righteous stuff Brad And Kyle. Your Dads are quite the hunks. Good times and they continue in some longer shorts and bigger bellies I'm sure. How about those babes too. I too remember those glassy AMs at the river and and Havasu with the roar beginning at sun-up.
Later dudes, Catfighter

Anyone else got some old school boating pictures (pre-1990) they wanna share? I love lookin at these older pics.

I need to go through some old pics to see if there are any of my wife and here family (her dad built up a Fantasy from a bare hull in the late 70's). I was not lucky enough to go to the river before I was old enough to go on my own :'(
-

-
Very cool pics Brad. My parents have some great pictures from the 70's of what was called the Blue Water Bash at of course Blue Water marina. I will try to get ahold of them at some point and get them posted. If your parents went to Parker alot I'm sure they heard of it.

Great thread Brad. I'm glad someone brought it back up to the top.
Here's dads first boat, Bullhead City in the background across the river. My folks and I, 1961.
Ten years later at our place in Parker that we had til '97. Me and my friends in the blue boat, the first 18 Tahiti Tarino. I was 15 at the time. Lots o fun. ;)
Directly across from our place at Parker was originally Tommy Kinders campground. Later it was sold and became....Riverland resort! You guys were camping right across from us, we must have been there at the same time several times through the years.

Awesome pics. I have some old pics from the late 70's I will see if I can find um.

the brown on brown tahiti was sold to a neighbor in apple valley. I have the vin info on it and maybe someday I will do a DMV search for it.
the blue and white topline (eliminator splash) was a part owner deal with an uncle....we sold our 1/2 to him when we moved to colorado and he shortly sold it off completely.
the brown and copper wriedt stinger is still in the family. My cousin/roomate kyle owns it...It is in the garage with its belly in the air getting a makeover.....you can follow that project here:

Now I ofiicially hate you. I only get there once or twice year max! I have been going there since I was knee high to a ducks dick and now I am 40.(ouch). That is one of my FAVORITE places to spend a week boating and skiing my brains out. We always rent one of those crappy mobile homes over on the south shore but its a place to stay. I'll let you know when the summer reservations get made.

Heres an old school pic of the old boat I grew up in. I was about 7 or 8 when this shot was snapped at Lake Peris. (its old school for me ok fellas? :P) I was kinda happy when my pops got rid of that velocity stack tho, it was a danger to low flying aircraft! I miss the hell out of that boat tho.
