Title: Revived 20' NORDIC
Post by: BOOST on July 23, 2008, 09:33:18 PM
Here's the Nordic I swapped for the Hondo, going through the pump, the steering cable is shot, taking in water from seals in the bowl, other then that it ran okay untill i adjusted the timing and carb air cleaner then it ran like a champ, its pushing 60 mph i'll post more pic's as i move on with this boat.

That thing is a sweetheart! 8) Thought about aborting my Carrera for something like that, but no balls.

Mind if I steal that motor cover design? I'm liking that a whole bunch... :o

my plans 049 heads port and polishes big cam lighting headers i should be happy with that for now,the boat is lighter then it looks had it out the water a couple times ran it real hard,i would like to see this boat in the 70s plans fast all around great boat like SANGER PETE said best of both worlds

yeah, thats not the ideal way you would want to run that.

loosen up yoursteering tube a tad and throw one of these on there....

Rides great, don't let the size fool you it's a light lay up going to put it on GPS this weekend,by far a better ride then the 18' HONDO

Hey Boost
I used to have a boat just like this one--er, I almost didn't recognize it. It looks like you've already started to make some real improvements and I can hardly wait until you finish the job--you'll have a ride that gives you both the additional room and decent performance. I'm glad that you're happy with the trade, but a little concerned that I have a Hondo that rides far worse than the Nordic. Just kidding. Like I mentioned, come on up here to central CA, and we'll go boating together.
