Title: Some of Dad's boats
Post by: SuperJet on March 15, 2013, 10:21:43 PM
Finally broke down and bought a scanner to put some of my pictures into the digital age. So, I figured I would scan some of my Dad's old water hot rods into my laptop to share with the gang.

First is hid old Miller, complete with faux wood deck.(that's me in the drivers seat age 5)

Secont is Dad's last jet he owned. It is a Haskell with a 454/panther. I loved that boat and tried to buy it twice brofre I bought my Sanger. But when I brought up the fact that I heard the boat had sunk, and asked if it had happened under the sellers ownership. The seller magically didnt want to sell the boat any more.(guess that was a yes)I didnt care if it was sunk or not, I wanted Dads old boat back :screwy:

Next up is Dad's one and only flatty (that I know of). It is a 65 Schiada glass over wood with a 327sbc and an in out box. Dad ended up trading it to a friend for a Rolex and some cash back in 94. He never put it in the water. Last we heard the boat went back east.

Here is his last boat he had. It is a 75 DiMarco Mini Cruiser. It was owned and campaigned as a ski racer by Todd Engle of Engle cams.(confirmed by Todd's brother) It had a LS7 BBC with a custom hand ground cam by Todd's brother, a 10* casale, art carr th400 and a whirl-away. Boat flat got with the program.
