Heres some more pics (daylight), going out soon to pull the motor soon(sold it already ;D). I'm not sure what do do with the hull.  I bought it just for parts (pump and stuff), but Im kinda likeing the rounded deck  :-\.  This thing is verry small on int room compaired to my Lancer (same bottom).  Looks just like Jetaholics Marlin, except for the long area behind the motor ( would make this hull verry hard to get to the hand hole cleanout on the pump).  Anyway looks like I'll save the usefull parts and than break out the sawzall >:D.  The hull is in pretty bad shape, rotten floor (the entire area under the floor is full of water), badly deformed bottom, and about 10 different paint jobs.  Dont think its worth the work to save it.  Oh well looks like I'll have some more 455 parts to sell (mounts, logs snails, water pump plate, if anybody needs them  :-\.

There were some issues on the way home  :'( .

Well it was a 512 mile trip to find this one, that started out realy good . Until I picked up the boat  ::) .  As soon as I got back on the freeway the truck started acting funny  :sly: (missing and low on power) .  So as I'm driveing along trying to think about what might be wrong I hear this strange noise and look up into the rearview just in time to see the right trailer fender flying through the air (thank god it flew straight to the side of the road and not into trafic).  Somehow both welds broke loose ( L.A. freeways   ) .  I stop , go back and get the fender, and notice the left fender is only attached by the front welds now (thay were both solid when I picked it up). no problem I have an extra tiedown and I strap the left fender to the trailer (fixed) .  I pull back out onto the freeway  (Yes this was all done on the side of the 5 freeway) and the truck gets up to about 45mph and starts missing realy bad and popping, backfireing all kinds of nasty stuff  :banghead: .   I pull off at the next exit and make it into a parking lot where it dies and wont restart  .  I call BUSBE/ Brian and he comes to the rescue  ;D . We check every thing we can in a parking lot with just a few tools i brought, its running again but bad .  We shut it off think about it for a second and than start it again and the fu##### thing  starts and sounds ok  :screwy: .  Brian follows me for about 15 miles in the opposite way he needs to go just make sure I'm ok ( GREAT GUY !!!!! ) .  He ( Brian/ BUSBY ) must have called me 10 times on the way home to make sure everything was ok .  The truck ran fine all the way home 250 miles. Than after parking the boat and closeing the gate the fu##### thing dies again  :banghead: . So, now its sitting right where it is in the above pics and wont start  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: , I guess I'm not working on the boats this weak

 HUGE thanks again Brian

I say it's the fuel filter or pump.

I say it's the fuel filter or pump.

It usually is  ::), but this time the problem seems different.  When my fuel pumps/filters have gone bad in the past it would run good at idle and bad at rpm or under a load , or not run at all,  This time it ran good all the way home (250 mi, L.A. to Fresno) at 65 mph and started acting up again once it had to idle .  Idle gets low and rough, after it idles for awhile.  Strange thing is it never turned on the check engine light, even when it ran the worst .
About 6 months ago I had to change the dist because it exploded the triger thingy, so thats new. fuel pump and filter were changed about 8 months ago .

Correct me if I am wrong but doesnt the pickup in the fuel tank have a screen filter on it? Could it be clogged? If not, I am sure you have sediment in the bottem of that tank that could have easily been picked up and clogged the filter (just doin its jobs). I would still start there, cheap fix if it is! If thats doesnt solve the problrm your not out that much $$

I did that same drive not to long ago. All I could think is that as soon as I hit the Grapevine I would be cool. Almost got rearended and side swiped about a dozen times in LA. As soon as I got out of town it was smooth sailing
